We all went to the park in Goldston to play tennis on this day. Leigh & I were obviously not dressed for the occasion at all. I even had sandles on and Leigh was barefoot! Keara looked like a tennis pro. She was so beautiful. It was a fun day.
In 1995 Keara, Jason and Justin came to visit us in our new house in Colorado Springs. It was the first flight Jason & Justin had ever taken and the airline lost their luggage! We had a wonderful time during the 2 weeks they spent with us and we saw a lot of Colorado including the wildlife. Justin would lay on the floor every night using one of Karl's socks as his blanky. When it came time for them to leave, I took them to Denver for their flight and we were to late so they missed the flight and had to wait for the next one. I really missed them when they went home and remember crying my eyes out. It wasn't long before we moved to North Carolina so we could be closer.
The summer Justin was born, we all rented a house at the beach in North Carolina. We had a great time just being together and playing with brand new Justin.
I just remember hearing your voice on the other end of the phone all the time and how you would say "It is so good to hear your voice". I miss hearing your voice. I can hear you so clearly every time we were about to hang up saying "Tell Karl I love him" and then we would always tell each other "I Love You". I cherish all the phone calls that we had during the times that we couldn't see each other in person. We had many years of those conversations, but not nearly enough.
I remember this day like it was yesterday. It was a warm spring day in Arkansas. We were playing the game "red light, green light" in the front yard with our friends. We used to love to play that game....
